These are some of the alternative routes to discover the cultural richness of the town of Zújar and enjoy its
magnificent surroundings:

Historical Zújar
Like the other villages in the region Zújar has an historical center made up of nieghbourhoods of Moorish appearance preserving their intricate network of narrow streets. The oldest buildings date back to the 16th and 17th Century. These buildings still reflect the splendor of that period - they are a great way to emmerse oneself in the town's historical past.

Jabalcón hill
This is the local landmark and its volcanic character does not go unnoticed by people travelling through the area. Jabalcón hill has many different routes to tackle: routes for hiking, touring by bike or by car and rock faces to climb from various ascents. After a hard climb the reward at the summit is a marvellous panoramic view of the high plains below.

Route of the springs
For those who prefer greener settings, this route covers the whole Zújar plain navigating its many springs. It is suitable to be done on foot or by bike, enjoying the peace and quiet of the countryside.

GR-7
The internationally recognised long distance route GR-7 crosses Granada province from the north east to the west over 455 Km., passing through the province's most spectacular areas - amongst them the town of Zújar. Its a pleasant route along which you can discover a wide variety of natural spaces, village culture and the way of life of the rural world.
